The classic turret punch has two synchronized wheels that carry the
punches and dies,
respectively. They are mounted on a frame with a deep throat. There is
a table
that supports the workpiece. A lightweight set of axis drives hold the
edges of the
workpiece and position it. Often a clamp holds the work in place while
the punch
is cycled. Many of these machines can bend and fold, as well as punch, so
vent louvers and flanges can be made, too. This machine looks too old, but
newer ones can also rotate the punch-die sets to make the machine even more
flexible.

There is no "head", only the workpiece moves.
