I'm using a johns univ pico controller and his dc servo amps

I'm trying to use one of his amps to drive the dc servo motor on my lathe

I can't seem to understand what signals to connect

The amp is connected to ppmc.0.pwm.03 on his board and I've set p,I,g in the
config

If leave the default examples the port is configured right and I have
configure it work ok for now and I can control it fine that way

But know I'm I have removed the a axis config setting and I'm trying to get
it looped to the spindle controls and I can't seem to make that work I've
looked for examples but I can't find anyone who has done this with johns
controller

Is there anyone out there that has made this work?
