Most of the higher-end servo motors are wound for sinusoidal commutation. Anything with resolver feedback is probably sinusoidal. Motors usually say DC brushless (trapezoidal) or AC servo/brushless (sinusoidal). This is just a rough guide, the companies all seem to have had their own scheme. Most of them are owned by Kollmorgen now anyway.
