Todd: Thanks for your detailed report. Four points: 1) did you use PS/2 or USB ports for keyboard and mouse? If USB, then it would be nice to know if instead using PS2/2 would affect your finding "At first it was as low as 2200&3500 and I thought wow this is really good but ...." Some have seen a USB effect and others have not. I don't think it is just a matter of fancy-schmanzy external devices but also a matter of the BIOS and all the stuff that happens on the "SouthBridge" side of the motherboard. (Ronald Reagan said it well, "Trust but verify.") 2) have you tried running this board headless and interacting with a remote XServer? As you can see from the numbers I posted to the Wiki latency-test page some time ago for my ASUS AT5NM10-I, that combination gave me my best numbers. 3) speaking of the Wiki latency test-page, please post your numbers to it:-) 4) finally, I regret to say that Intel has already officially announced it will discontinue production of the Atom D2700 chip in September of this year (wow, it lasted a whole year!). My guess is all boards of this type will disappear from retail channels before the end of the year.
