Idea #2 was to simply mill with carbide but use air not water to clean out the machined area. Think in terms of the dental hygienist using a scraper or ultrasonic pick on your teeth and then washing clear the detached tartar with water and a suction. YMMV. Ideas off the top of my head usually auger in pretty badly when they crash. ;-) Good luck!
