Hello, I've been happy w/ the 5i25 and either 7i77(servo) or 7i76(stepper) pairings. But I have another project that needs replacement drives and motors (3'x3' Gerber gantry router) and was wondering about bldc servos and had a few questions:
1) Can I use a 5i25 to drive two 7i39 amps? Im guessing I will no longer need a 7i77 servo daughtercard (though will still need something to get some extra I/O for home/limit switches and the like - though could use the parallel port for those.) 2) Anyone used the 7i39 to drive keiling KL23BLS motors (specifically either the -95 or -115)? I currently have a 30Vdc power supply which would suit the 7i39-LV. The machine currently has old slo-syn 150 oz-in nema 23 steppers (one is broken.) I was looking at replacing w/ ~300 oz-in hybrid steppers when I bumped into the bldc motors on the keling site. Im familiar w/ running/tuning DC servos w/ external +-10V input drives. Is using bldc w/ the 7i39s much more difficult? I've never used softdmc before.
