Hi Andy Back in 2011 you had the mechanics of your BT30 toolholder up, including the machining of a split collet.
Is there a reason you went for that option, as opposed to the far simpler three balls in a tube style? Also, did you ever consider a bayonet style pull stud? It might not be suitable for CNC, but would be easy to make and use for manual changes. The pull stud would be a shaft with a pin in it at 90deg. The bayonet would be in a short tube at the end of the puller.
