You have many questions indeed. I suggest that you visit the linuxcnc 
wiki and read up a bit about linuxcnc. Then go visit the install 
instructions (also on the wiki) for linuxcnc.
You do need a bit of background on how things work before you attempt 
the installation.
Then once you have some idea of how to go about it, you can start asking 
questions directed more towards things that you are having problems 
with. We will gladly assist wherever we can.
