We have MPG 'banging' on two machines that are tuned fast and I just found
the 'ilowpass' example fix online:
http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/examples/mpg.html

Looks to be a FIR filter. I had actually found the 'limit2' and 'limit3'
functions first to use as rate limiters when searching. There is also the
regular 'lowpass' function. Any reason to use them over ilowpass? Im just
wondering if there is some backstory like ilowpass was developed before the
other functions were or somesuch.

Thank you,
Stephen
