Hallo Billy, no, it is not possible to use the existing button. If you click on an active button, it might be possible to just increase the spindle speed, but how to decrease the speed. There is no way to distinguish if the user want to slow down the spindle or just reverse the direction.
It would need to force the user to stop the spindle first, would that be a solution? To your second problem, What version of gmoccapy are you using? actual is 1.1.4 What is the content of your preferences file?
