The Gnome 2 APIs, including the gnomeprintui library that LinuxCNC uses, 
were removed from Ubuntu sometime between 12.04 Precise and 14.04 Trusty.

The only thing that LinuxCNC uses libgnomeprintui for is printing from 
Classic Ladder.  If you can live without that, then remove the build 
dependency on libnomeprintui-dev from debian/control.in and rerun 
debian/configure.  The build should work, and everything except for 
printing ladder diagrams should work.

This is new territory, please let us know how how it goes!
