Now to fire up the lathe and trim nominally .750" off the length of the motor mount standoffs, deepen the bolt holes for the motor plate & re-tap for 6 mm. I wound up taking a bit of metal out of the bottom of both tables to clear the tops of the nuts by a thou or so, and completely redoing the factory alignment of the Y screw.
But the heat is killing me so I'm back in the house cooling off. Dunno if I'll start on the standoffs yet today or not. I don't have a job waiting for it so... Generally I feel pretty good, 30 days since I sort of became conscious on the bedroom floor not knowing how I got there, but the weed eater started ok this morning, then ran out of gas in 15 seconds so the carb needs a diaphragm kit I expect, but I wore myself out to the point of getting a bit dizzy pulling the string another 20 or so times, took me 10 minutes of heavy breathing in a patio chair to feel good enough to go get my meter & check sugar, got 150, so I obviously am not back to 100% (for my age that is) yet. Since I hadn't had breakfast at that point, the 150 pisses me off, the metformin is NOT doing its job even if I did take two of them for dinner last night. Might have to switch to insulin yet. Anyway, a progress report, if anybody cares.
