I haven't heard much about the LinuxCNC fest in Houston planned for Saturday, October 18 to Saturday, October 24 since the topic was originally brought up.
I have some frequent flyer miles that need to be burned:-) and wanted to make sure I don't show up and the sign on the door says "closed." I hope to arrive Friday 10/17 and be there for the first weekend. By then I should have my 5i25/7i77 installed in my mill and have time to be a little more dangerous w/ LinuxCNC. I've been following this awesome list for more than a few years and really excited to attend, especially after checking out the RX/TX website. I have some steppers (couple IMS drives) and two BOBs that I want to turn into a LinuxCNC 'test stand' and plan to have that ready by then as well.
