I bought a 7i43 and a couple 7i42TAs awhile back and I am just getting around to using them to build a new controller box for my 9x20 lathe. This is a stepper driven machine (no encoders on the steppers).
I have seen some recommendations talking about setting up the stepgens for the 7i43 for velocity mode. Does this require encoders on the steppers?
