Hi all, I'm trying to migrate from my ancient mb on the cinci to a D525MW. The system device is an 8 mb CF plugged into one of mesa's CF to SATA adapters. My linux install won't format it. i.e. install sees my usb flash drive with the install on it but cannot see the target CF.
My current system on the cinci is a Duron 1200 with Ubuntu 8.04 and 2.5.x (?) so it is probably time to move on. Initially the CF had an ext2 partition, non-bootable. I tried adding the boot flag and that made no difference. Next I deleted the partition and again no progress. Any ideas on how to diagnose the problem and fix it would be highly appreciated.
