Well, I dug through the pumphouse, found an Automation Direct GS1 drive, hooked
it up..... set the upper frequency for 400HZ..... and it works! This motor has
a nameplate indicating it as a 0.8KW sized motor, about 1HP for some of the
audience. Should be very cheap to pick up. Next step is to get the 17,000 rpm
motor speed down to something useful.
