Made the tour in Oregon in 94, wife fell in love with it. Followed the drill as it cut its way into Crater Lake on June 28th. 27 feet of snow above my wifes outstretched fingertips about a mile out from the crater.
That would be a bit of a long drive, and its probably heavier than my old WV cadillac can carry anyway, its a 1/2 ton 99 GMC 3 door. I did have an aunt who lived in Salem, but she passed 19 years back. Thats why we went, basically to say goodbye while I still could. Flew in, spent a week catching up on odd jobs around their house, then rented a car & went wherever it was pointed the next morning. Came back to the coast down the Rogue River Valley. Good vacation.
