I'm new to KiCAD and learning how to get around it. There is a library file in the project directory called AnilamToLinuxCNC-cache.lib. I'm only guessing, but my hope would be that file has the library components in it for the project. I wonder if adding only that to your library folder would have worked vs. adding all the libraries. I was happy to include the other libraries so people could use them, just didn't think they had to be in there explicitly. Glad you got it open.
BTW, I'm using Windows (ugh I know) and a recent non-stable build of KiCAD. The fact the stable opens the newer unstable is pretty good, I think. PS - I've been threatening my computer to dual install linux and windows so I can work on KiCAD, LinuxCNC, and LinuxCNC docs in linux on my main PC. Just haven't gotten round to it... The worry is that I fubar my main working machine... Mark Re: [Emc-users] KiCAD schematic Anilam Crusader M Conversion From: TJoseph Powderly <tjtr33@gm...> - 2015-06-17 14:28:07 Mark I can open the supplied .pro file fine using Eeschema build (2013-Mar-13)-testing on 1st open it will complain the libraries are not present so copy the contents of the "KICAD Libraries" directoy to /usr/share/kicad/library ( sudo maybe needed ) also, he';s supplied a pdf of the whole hierarchy when the projet opens with the libs installed you'll get a single schematic with a photo and 1 iconic sheets ( this is very ORcad like ) to go 'down' into a subsheet right click on a sheet icon and select Enter to go back 'up' from a subsheet right click on the subsheet you are inside, then select Leave HTH tjtr33 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
