I'm not sure of what you mean by the CAM system or if it is relevant to what I do. Possibly someone can explain.
I write Java code that exports g-code files to run a small CNC router or CNC desktop mill. I am considering adding a lathe like attachment bolted to the table (essentially a small lathe with stepper motor). In this case the center of rotation is well known and computing the linear velocity vector due to rotation is straight forward in either machine or workpiece coordinates. Can the trajectory planer deal with this or would I need to add additional steps?
