Gene, Go to the K Menu, then click on SYSTEM, then DESKTOP APPLET, and finally KRANDRTRAY. It may also be called "Screen Resize and Rotate." When you click the KRandRTray icon (mine is different here - look for the icon shown above), you will see a list of resolutions. You can apply any of these resolutions immediately by just clicking on the one you want.
