Just plugging in the VFD, without having it start the spindle motor causes the problem? Then you are probably right. If you only had problems when the spindle was running, then the line reactors might help.
I put a commercial line filter box on the VFD on my mill, I was having interference in a couple units, but only when the VFD was running the spindle. The filter fixed it.
