Spinning a 12mm tap in my G0704, in low backgear, will likely require a not more than 1/4 turn deeper per peck cycle. Its only a 1 horse. A 10mm tap made it do some serious belly dragging, but did get it done at a turn per peck. It also did a 3/8 USS tap into a slightly undersized hole in a white ash jig base, but I used all the tap, at about a turn per peck.
