Gene, when I started listening to this list, I was intrigued by the possibilties of using ordinary "left-over" desk top PCs (which were getting very cheap at the time) to do extraordinary work with ordinary out-of-time machinery. This wonderful idea met my desires to make ends meet and, what's more, at low cost. Now, LinuxCNC has gone commercial, and using "dedicated", purpose-made computers doesn't appeal much to me - everybody makes dedicated computers and builds modern gadgets with them. It has lost lots of charms by now.
By the way: at least in this country, polo shirts don't have pockets, that's why I dont like them.
