The *25.4 factor is for going the other way, but I admit it is easier to
let a simple utility figure which is which.

I'd probably be tempted to see if the scale is right when you twiddle
the jog-wheel, and if not, it can then be tweaked to haul the sucker
back in line. (I sure as hell didn't get everything right the first time
when younger, and have given up trying for it now.)
