I have decided that Santa might bring me a soldering station for
Christmas. The question is... Which one?
Within the last year there has been some discussion on the list about
the quality and prices of "inexpensive" hot air stations.
I searched but could not find the discussions.
I have a perfectly good Weller station for direct soldering so I
don't need the air station to include the traditional soldering iron
but would take it if it was a small increment in price just for convenience.
These hot air stations seem to run from about $40 to $300. I am a
hobby user, normally less than 4 hours a month.
Does anyone have experience with a hot air station that you have
purchased over the last year or so. If so I would really like to
hear your opinion and the model number you have.
