I think today with no modification to the software you could set up four Linux CNC systems. Each of them "headless" with no monitor or keyboard. Then you get a office PC with a large monitor and route all for LinuxCNC displays to the one PC on your desk. Not quite the same thing as you asked for but it would work today, not "in the future"
