The G76 section in the interp_convert.cc file needs to be edited and recompiled. I use a command that takes care of this, so I've forgotten how this works. The LinuxCNC developer manual and documentation should provide what you need to modify source code.
I recall that I added a -D parameter to the G76 command so the interp_check.cc file needs to be edited too.
