Yes, I agree. The way the 3D preview and bounds checking is implemented in Axis, you get a lot of information when you load the program and when you press run. Assuming you have a home sequence set up and soft limits set, It allows you to check the range of motion coded in the program against the machine's limits, and warns you if it would exceed the machine's travel. REALLY handy, has saved me LOTS of hours and wasted material when the first try at setup had the work positioned so the program WOULD have exceeded the bounds.

You still have to consider clamps and vise jaws for interference, but that is not so hard once the stock is properly aligned.
