Speaking of mill alignment. It's been years since I did this and then I didn't have the more accurate gauge. I did get an old brake disk surface ground flat. That makes spinning the indicator around while tweaking so much nicer. The photo shows the setup and then the gauge on the left and right side of the brake disk. Close enough for jazz I think.
