You seem to be in the rather interesting space where it isn't clear if your problems are with LinuxCNC or the Debian live build. Our .iso is very slightly altered version of the stock Debian install. I understand that you want to use your CNC machine, not start a computer science project, but I am curious if your issues are also there with the stock Debian installer.
