Nahh. kernel patches are often that big or bigger. And once I got the
syntax ducks lined up, it all applied, on that pi, in 15 seconds or so
with no rejects. All built now and ready to be applied to a raspbian
10.2 armhf install on a fresh 64G u-sd card. But I've gotten sidetracked
fitting a new BXA tool post to the the spacer replacing the broken
compound on my Sheldon 11x54. That and pacing myself as I re-couperate
from a heart valve replacement about 3 weeks back. Its foot is about
3/4" wider, and 1/8 thicker than the key slot I made to fit the piston
posts foot. And my old tool holders are 250-100 series while this post
is 250-200 series stuff. About a 2mm diff in wedge width. I may see if
I can find a cutter and make them fit as that would give me around 18
tool holders. Unwritten law, you never have enough tool holders. ;-)

I'm not yet up to wrestling with an electric hoist I bought to help me
handle a BS-1 dividing head I bought for the mill. Fully assembled, with
a driver motor attached, it will be around 85 to 90 kg. Thats hoistable
weight, way too much for this old fart but I have a problem. The hoists
mounting brackets fit Chinese sized steel, so they can't be hammered
onto 2" American steel, yet are way too big for 1.5" square tubing. I
may have to cut and mig weld new brackets come warmer weather as I don't
have a brake that sturdy. IOW, I'm still cogitating on how to best fix
it to a house made out of 2x4's.

Take care all.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
