I have an 800x600 panel mount monitor with resistive touch screen. It's ELO
brand, has drivers for Windows and Linux. Plan is to one of these days have it
on my mill.

640x480 for the video of ones I've bought on ebay, ex p.o.s. stuff, vga
speeds so only one gets used here on my trs80 color computer which is up
converted from 225x200 sorta ntsc. Pos stuff usually has a very low
touch resolution too, often 8x8 in boxes. If some higher res stuff ever
shows up at reasonable prices... The video is generally written to
position the item description to the touch box, so the touch box is
fairly large.  And no good reason to make it any higher touch
resolution. It might be ok for something that works like gmocapy, but
I've been so interested that I've not looked at any touch screen
receivers we might have.  What I've seen here is all 9600 baud seriel
stuff.
