Yes. For me it's still all in the thinking about it stage. I found other
than 2D curves that power feed and DRO have made milling pretty easy. Over the
years maybe a couple of damaged cutters.
With Linux CNC I've damaged 5 cutters in the space of a few months. But life
has been less boring.
And I agree. Addressing what is called human factors interface is critical.
Something that seems to have left the computer world over the last 10 years or
so. Now it's called "enhancing the user's experience". Change for the sake of
change or marketing.
Imagine if every car you got into enhanced your experience on which pedal
applied the brakes. If it even had a pedal for that.
