I wondered what all the different coordinate systems are for, their differnces.

(I know what a coordinat system is, mathematician here.)
This allows you to set up an offset from a main coordinate system, for instance if you have several identical features to be machined on a part, one hunk of G-code could machine each part and then set up the offset to machine the next instance.

It can also be used if you have several parts mounted in a fixture, one coord system for each part.
