And thats quite a trick. Neither leadshine (who does yet offer any 3
phase stuff on their site) nor Lichuan offers any software for download,
I spent a couple hours poking around both sites today. Then I prowled
around in that machines .hal file, trying to get the same functions
setup for x that I did have working for Z. But combining them is nearly
a total rewrite of about 25 lines of hal stuff, and I got burned out so
I ran out to TSC to see if I could find a better draw screw to do the
tensioning of the X drive belt. Couldn't find it in cap screw style, so
got a flathead, then ran two 4mm nuts against the head to get a course
adjustment, and wound up working better than before, but there's just
enough of it hanging out of the bottom edge of the apron that it could
catch something as it goes by. Maybe 15 thou. These motors are
amazingly quiet, a normal speeds its a ghost, its moving but you can't
hear a thing unless the spindle is turning. And X can now do 120 ipm.
Was about 28 on the normal motor.

If we desire respect for the law, we must first make the law respectable.
