That's very impressive. But what's in the debian repo is dated a decade 
ago!  Surely that isn't what Sam is using for that.

So I have begun an update to my computer hardware, based on finding 4 
identical old Dells with i5 processors, 4Gigs of dram with a blank hd 
I'll probably replace with a 240G SSD, and install our latest. All 
inspired by losing the video on one of my D525MW mobo's yesterday.  So 
until they arrive, my 6040 is out of business. Fortunately, the linuxcnc 
directory was copied to this machine so my work is not lost.

FWIW, and before the video output died, the latest iso, dd'd to a usb 
gizmo, installed just fine and worked.

Once they arrive and I've restore it to functional, I have downloaded the 
opencv-4.5.1-tar.gz and will probably pester you kind people for build 
instruction help. I've already looked at the docs but build instructions 
are not very well filled out.
