Backlash will certainly make thingsw difficult, as in effect you are trying to tune two systems with one PID. There is the motor+leadscrew system, which has a very low inertia and a high frequency response, and the motor+ballscrew+moving axis system, which has far more inertia and a much lower frequency response. You _could_ try adding more deadband. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
