Since it's summer and the group is kind of quiet I thought I'd post a link to a
short video I made last month. I bought a new tool cabinet for under my lathe
that ended up being about 1" too tall and I'd run out of room on one adjustable
foot to raise the lathe higher.

So I made a wooden frame that would just have feet with a 3/8-16 thread.
Didn't really need the casters anyway. I drilled and tapped the holes in the
oak frame pieces on my mill.

However I was now 1/8" too tall so it still didn't fit. Next step was to make
spacers from a chunk of aluminum casting to put under the lathe feet as thick
washers on the adjustable feet.

Then borrow a level and adjust the bed for parallel by tweaking the feet.
After that fill the drawers. The reason the feet stick out is if the bottom
cabinet doesn't have weight in it pulling out the top drawer with all the
tooling caused the cabinet to tip over.

Anyway, that was my July project which used LinuxCNC.
