I think that the problem is the motherboard. I pulled the MOBO/CPU from another machine. Put it all back together and it is running like a champ now.
It's always a crapshoot with these new motherboards/cpus. They seem pretty iffy... keep trying them until one works. It's always been that way for as long as I can remember! Thanks!
