To whoever waved their magic wand and cast the spell, thank you very much.
There are no camera controls at the bottom of the preview window, there
used to be a
quite full set as its not a cheap one but designed for endoscopy. The
pix looks usable
with one very small target circle at the cross hairs junction.
But pursuant to the msg indicating master was now 2.10, linuxcnc
is still claiming to be a 2.9pre0-8168-gffb6bda92 version.

Any idea what the missing prefs file should look like? This FWIW, is not
the config directory I was
experimenting with, but the version w/o the camera in its name.
Now, if I can keep it working. I've had false alarms like this before.
Fingers crossed and all that.
But any more experiments today will be delayed, its vote day here, and
I've a decent
sized piece of a pin oak hanging on my house drop, for which I had to go
out late
yesterday and find a battery chain saw on a loooooong pole, but it took
nearly 5
hours to charge its battery.
