I did have, but I can't currently find it. (and it was only moving a
tiny stepper motor, not actually a toolchanger)

If you are only using a single home sensor, then use encoding=counts
and num_sense=1

Then set the carousel.0.scale to suit the number of steps between pockets.

Set the stepgen scale to 1.0 and the stepgen mode to position, and
then connect the stepgen.N.position-cmd to carousel.0.counts-target
The stepgen will need to be enabled, either by carousel.0.active, or
permanently.

It probably more robust to use a sensor-per-pocket and use encoding=index

Are you getting any movement at all?
