Googling "Link is down Link is up at 100 Mbps, full duplex" throws up
a few suggestions, one of which is that it might be a faulty ethernet
cable. (But I imagine that you have tried that?)
My first suggestion, Andy. Particularly if the cable builders color
vision is a bit duff. cat5/6 is a transmission line and must be treated
as such. Properly terminated.
