This is follow up of my last posting.** Manisha testified herself publicly in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal and challenged wider society that she is a raped woman who is heading to prove this and bring rapist in justice. This is great and brave idea that Manisha decided to come out. Some female journalist asked question Manisha that why she decided to do this publicly and they also suggested her not to do this because she will be in trouble in future. But Manisha also challenged journalist that this is her decision and she has right to speak.
There were other few women's right activist (men and women) who supported her views those were people from Oxfam, ABC Nepal, all Nepal women's association and some free lancer journalist. This helped Manisha to take her case up and bring rapist to the justice. It was good media coverage and support to her next day. Now she is back to the village to proceed the case. Ministry of Women of Nepal is going to provide legal support to her to deal this case. This is an example of challenging patriarchal state institution by survivors themselves.
