Womens's International Network - WIN NEWS has compiled all possible information on Female Genital Mutilation in Africa and worldwide - WIN NEWS has featured a section on FGM in every issue since 1975 (quarterly publication) and we published the HOSKEN REPORT GENITAL ND SEXUAL MUTILATION OF FEMALES by Fran P. Hosken (see Books in Print) also STOP Genital Mutilation - WOMEN SPEAK - both published by WIN NEWS. (no commercial publisher would touch it)
We have large amounts of research from all over the world - much of it collected in Africa as I visited Maternity Hospitals in most African countries where FGM is practiced and talked to the Midwives. Let me know if anyone is interested in this information - I am setting up a permanent archive at the Northwestern University Women's Collection and expect to catalogue and ship everything this and next year - in the meantime it is available here at my house for research (I need some help with the catalogue).
