It still doesn't work.

With 1.9.6 I'm getting the errors again:

gpg: WARNING: The GNOME keyring manager hijacked the GnuPG agent.
gpg: WARNING: GnuPG will not work properly - please configure that tool
to not interfere with the GnuPG system!

We've been thruough this two months ago, you and DKG came up with this:

Two months have passed meanwhile, so I'd like to bring this up again.

Now that 1.9.6 is GAed, can we expect a backport for Jessie?

You're asking the wrong mailing list - Enigmail does not create packages
for any Linux distribution. You'd have to ask the Debian maintainers.

However, if you have Thunderbird 38 or newer on Jessie, you can
uninstall the Enigmail package provided by Debian and install the
official release from the Enigmail web site.

That's what I did.

I even tried commentsab...@riseup.net's solution from this morning - no success.

Since July I've been fiddling with this. So I must assume that it has got something to do with my system which is Linux Mint Debian Edition 2.0 (it's a Jessie-based distro) and TB 45.4.0.

I give up on this and will continue to TOX and XMPP/OTR my private stuff.
