um..  as i no longer have them on my system (they were nuked after all..)  
i can't say which specific ones i got rid of.  in place of that, here's a
list of the ones i kept from the 0.9.2 install:

scale:

nebula.jpg
ripple.jpg
wasteland.jpg
wintertree.jpg

tile:
004.jpg
blackstone.jpg
blue_marble.jpg
cyber_bg.jpg
lightb1.jpg
ripple.jpg
shale.jpg
space.png
starry.jpg
steel1.jpg
twisted.jpg

also, i moved nebula from tile to scale (makes more sense to me that way).  
these are of course chosen due to my particular tastes, so i'd expect 
others would prolly keep some i got rid of and nuke some i kept..
