Hi Matt, Glad to see your interest in working with the project! Documentation is certainly something that we lack, so this is certainly a place that you can leave your mark if that's what you're looking to do.
As stated previously on IRC, I'm not entirely sure where we're currently targeting our efforts to improve documentation, but certainly we'll be happy to help out with any questions you have along the way.
