Anyone? Er, what is the point of allowing such a useless size? Especially if it's causing problems like special sanity checks, and just plain bogging down the system when trying to deal with them. Yes, there are uses for images that size. Speciality uses that usually require specialized software to cope with them. Certainly not used to create a desktop background or a fancy OK button.
