Ok well, seems the problem fixed itself. Not sure how/why, but running 
it in Xephyr and it magically worked. Strange...

Anyway, apparently nothing is broken wrt to this, so sorry for the noise 
and Good Work TAsn...everything text related seems a bit faster and 
smoother now :)
