With fontconfig disabled, an evas text object created in C code will happily use the font from edje, but an evas textblock object wont, and displays nothing. I had to move some of my tetxblocks from C to edje, and convert others to text in a table to get it to work. I'm not happy about that, there's a separation of concerns I'm trying to get between edje and C code in this project that having those textblocks in edje now breaks. Those particular textblocks should only be dealt with on the C side of things in this project. -- A big old stinking pile of genius that no one wants coz there are too many silver coated monkeys in the world.
